Victoria and Albert spent most of their summers together at Osborne House, celebrating their birthdays there. Working with the curatorial team, we developed a trail around the house and gardens highlighting some of the gifts that they gave to each other to celebrate their 200th anniversary of their births.
The first room that visitors encounter gives them an overview of the story of birthday celebrations at Osborne. The back wall and lightweight fabric panels are dressed with oversized flowers made from paper, a modern interpretation of Victoria and Albert’s birthday room displays.
The trail extends to a leaflet, internal and external markers (including trees) and soft furnishings around the house.
